ABOUT ME...
I was born on August 26, 1980... I was born in Bay Shore, NY- where I lived till I was 12 years old.  I attended Our Lady of Lourdes until 6th grade.  My parents divorced in '89 and life goes on.
I don't have a middle name... my parents couldn't agree on one... and I never got confirmed... so my full name rests at the whole 9 letters...  :-)
Side notes:  even though I went to catholic school, I was never really into religion; and to this day I don't really have a preference. I dont know who or what is out there and I choose to remain non-religious.
My nationalities: Irish, German, Italian, Greek, and so on. :-)
Life, continued:  My dad got full custody of John and I -- mom lived in Babylon and we moved out to Selden.  Dad chose to put us in public school -- which wasn't that bad, but it was definitely different than catholic school.  Both parents remarried someone in '94-- I had stepfamilies left and right.  Both parents divorced again as of 2003.  To end this on a positive note, my mom is  married now to Thomas but they live out in Staten Island :-) LOL, THE END (for now).
College/Jobs:
'98
I attended York College of PA for two years and then transferred home to St Joseph's College in Patchogue.  Ok, so I have my days of regret when I ask why did I come home, but hey, "life goes on."  I graduated college in the Spring of 2002 and I have my license to teach the lil ones (prek-6).  I love kids and teaching them would bring me the greatest self-satisfaction!

2003- I started my Masters in Education for Reading. I took three classes and got A's of course- I don't accept anything less. I am a high achiever, what can I say?
I worked as
a pre-k teacher at Kiddie Academy for 2 years but I have moved on to try and work my way into school districts.

2004- I love subbing, but it is SO hard being an on-call substitute..and I don't like that, but I don't seem to have any other options as of now.
I switched my Masters to Special Education and so far so good!! I am learning a lot.  In addition, (as of 12/04) I just started in a Special Education classroom in
Lindenhurst Middle School.  It's challenging and rewarding.

You may also find me tutoring at the
Huntington Learning Center, and working at Macy*s once in a while (in May, it'll be FIVE years that I've worked there! haha)

2005- Moved to Alexandria, VA to teach 6th grade. I'm playing on a coed softball and football team, and meeting lots of great people. I'm loving it down here and I wouldnt trade this time of my life for the world!!!  :-)
