Integrity :
This VW Thing has been my dependable daily driver for about a year. The Odometer reads 23,824.9 miles and has read that much since I first got the car. I work within half a mile from my home and I don't even drive to work all the time. I can confidently say that I've put less than 5000 miles on in the past year. The previous owner used the car to take his family camping, and also put very few miles on it. This is to say, in the four years since the engine was rebuilt, very few miles have been put on it. This has been a solid and dependable car all around.
Why I'm Selling:
This car is a fun, dependable
vehicle that I have really enjoyed driving. This car has always attracted
a lot of attention and started many fantastic conversations. It has been a
joy to own in every way. Letting it go saddens me, but it has become
necessary. I am a college student who is planning to transfer to San Diego
next year. I need a more practical vehicle, both for
making
the occasional 100+ mile trip back and for day-to-day life where I may not have
the convenience of working and living so close together. I also will
not have the time to do the occasional upkeep that a 34 year old car deserves.
These cars are a fantastic piece of history and a blast to own.
Unfortunately for me, it is time to move on.
