Beautiful City

I have heard of a beautiful city Whose walls are standing four square Where all of God's faithful are gathered His love and His glory to share.
We will have joy and peace there forever Inside of that city so fair As we join with the saints that are singing The praises of God over there.
It's a city that's fairer than fancy, Its riches and beauty untold, And Christ is preparing a mansion Up there in that city of gold.
Over there in that beautiful city, Walls of jasper and streets of pure gold, Our Christ and His church all assembled, Will His wonderful blessings unfold?
As we walked in the pathway of duty While learning of God's love and care, The faith that we had in our Savior Is what built us our home over there?
We have dwelt here in earthly cities	We have dwelt here in earthly cities.
While living in God's love and care.	We've learned of God's love and care.
Now we're moving on to that city Our Savior has gone to prepare,
A city, the home of our Savior, A city that's not built by hands-- This our reward and God's glory-- When we meet in that beautiful land.
