Exchanging Perversities Answered by Steve Green "Kingdom Of Corpses" is absolutely big progress for Lust Of Decay if I compare it to "Infesting The Exhume", I'm sure you guys all satisfied with the result...comment ? Yes, we feel it was a step up for us in all aspects, especially the writing skills and production. Of course we feel some things could have still been a little better, but overall we are very pleased. Who brings the idea to cover Deicide's "Lunatic Of God's Creation" ? why you didn't choose on "Legion" album ? there lot of good tracks to cover by LOD .. Actually that was my idea to cover "Lunatic of God's Creation" by Deicide. I'll never forget the first time I heard that song and was so influenced by it back in those days. Legion has great songs too, that is actually my favorite CD by Deicide, but we just had to do "Lunatic of God's Creation" because that is the classic that everyone is most familiar with by Deicide. So what news in your camp now ? Nothing really, just working on new songs for our third CD tentatively titled "Exchanging Perversities". We have about six new songs ready and will be writing about four more before we enter the studio again in 2005. Your new album was recorded at Studio Gray, Charlotte, NC. It's different studio from "Infesting The Exhumed". Tell me the reason why you decided to choose Studio Gray ? Yes, it was a different studio for us... we had heard some of the recordings that this studio did for other metal bands in the past and knew they could give us a descent sound. Looking back though there are things we would have done a little different, we will make those changes for our next CD. Steve...you're using Digitech Pre Amp, Mas Valve Amplification and Crate cabinets. Could you tell me more how does it works creating your metal sounds on "Kingdom Of Corpses" ? Well, that is basically it. The sound you hear on the CD is pretty much what my live sound is. Of course being in the studio we could tweak the sound slightly, but we made very minor adjustments. About Comatose Music...you have some brutal killer bands inside the roster, what is another terms to join your forces beside it must be brutal death metal ? Not much more than being sick and brutal is required to join Comatose Music. Of course I prefer bands that are active and a touring band is a plus. I tend to like the more technical styled death metal too, like the Severed Remains and Domination Through Impurity releases. What is the motivation to build Comatose Music ? Just my love for death metal. I want to leave a legacy in the underground death metal scene and release some memorable brutal death metal that people will listen to for years to come. Tell me about what bands for future releases which are unpublished on your website ! Right now the next release is Domination Through Impurity. It is scheduled for release in January. Super brutal and technical death metal like Decapitated and Severed Savior. It is so tight, you'll be amazed! And I am going to be doing a split DVD this Spring featuring Lividity, Lust of Decay, and Putrid Pile. Back to LOD, it looks like Jay Barnes like to write a song title with "tion" ending...comment ? Yeah, I just now noticed that after you asked the question... that is pretty funny! What is the most expected show in a future for LOD ? and why ? you may write all the schedule shows too here... Right now it is the Southern Slam Fest in January. Some great bands like Brodequin and Fleshgrind will be performing too... looking real forward to that one! We are also scheduled for the Ohio Deathfest 2005 and Central Illinois Metalfest 2005... should be killer! Thanks Steve for your time...any special ending for all Hyperblast Universe readers ?
