HYMAC HISTORY

Hymac production began in Wales in 1962 after the idea to build a hydraulic excavator was concieved by London businessman, Peter Hamilton.

He based his 'Hymac' design around the U.S made 'Hy-Hoe' excavators.

The first Hymacs were actually 'Hy-Hoe's' sent to England in kit-form !

Hymacs went on to be the bigest selling excavators around the world, so much so that the word "Hymac" is still often used by many people to describe ANY excavator they see - regardless of the actual make of the excavator !
