Mirror of a Shattered Past
I picked the flower from the bed
Then I watched the beauty fade
Forever lost the innocence
I'm the only one to blame
I didn't mean what I said
Maybe, then, I actually did
I begged forgiveness from your heart
"It's just you." is all you said
I look back in the past
Reflected in a mirror true
A saddened heart became mine
Because I of what I did to you
I don't know why I made you cry
Shattering your fragile heart
This strong friendship I've made weak
I'm the reason we've broken apart
I recall the boy I knew before
So sweet, loving, caring, pure
Who healed my wounds when I bled
Doing what he could to make it better
I loved him then and I love him now
Nothing but good was in his soul
Now, I don't know who he is
A once warm heart I've turned to stone
I wish I could change things back the way
The way I remember in my head
"I'm so sorry for the pain I caused"
"Oh, it's just you," you said
To this day and the rest of my life
