Daydream
Blue skies is what I'm reminded of
When I look into your eyes
And if you disappear with the sun
I won't be a bit surprised
Sing me a song to lull me to sleep
So I don't know when you leave
When you're gone, you won't be long
Or so I'd like to believe
In my dream, the sun descends
Sinking into the sea
Leaving behind a starless sky
The black void that is me
Through the haze of my draining eyes
I see a glow from above
Blanketed by a wave of solace
It must be Venus' love
In her arms, I feel safe
Protected and assured
Happiness lies in self love
I must show this more
With that knowledge, I have hope
A new sun will rise again
I look forward to that sun's arrival
