| "Unwanted Deviation" Once upon a day it was said, That i was moving yet again. The rest of that summer i was blue Cause i knew i was leaving you. As the fifth time rolled around I started to realize just what i had found. Once again, all my best friends were left behind And the thought of having to make new friends, tortured my mind. At first the chance of moving was slim, But then my dad came home with a face of grim. I started to resent that i was still fully living, on the ground, When i found out for sure......I was South Carolina bound. As boxes and wrap filled my room, My heart could not keep out the ever piercing gloom. As the last box was loaded I knew it was the end And a whole new life was just around the bend. --by me-- |

| "Rock on!" Came to town 1997, little did i know this would be my "heaven." I saw you walkin down the street, and you were not the person i wanted to meet. A nudge from my sister forced me your way, but we ended up playing for the rest of that day. I slept over at your house on the second night, lo and behold we did not get in a fight. We were the best of friends And could not be separated. We didnt care about the odds n'ends cause when me and you we together we were always elated. Later in our days we started competin, but we always struck dead even. You started to grow taller, and i did not keep up. I fell behind and lost our "race" This made me feel like a disgrace. From then on out i tried to be just like you, but i ended up being made a fool. You were better than me at almost everything, i accepted that fact and tried flying on my own wing. As we entered middle school you didnt feel accepted. I didnt see how since you passed me up in everything i was. You tried to fit in but didnt have your thing, but i guess i didnt help with all of my senseless bragging. You tried many things and did not know what to pick, until that day you picked up a drumstick. Every week you got better at the drum, And soon drumming was your place to rule; your kingdom. You finally found your thing, and i smile as you play, cause i know that things are going your way. Congradulations Banner, what a drummer you are, and i'm very sorry for, in our friendship, leaving a scar. Well now that i'm gone, and we both moved on, keep doing your thing banner, and rock on, rock on! --by me-- --to banner-- |
