ABSTRACT
Within the framework of the enforcement of the self-surveillance on its urban drainage network, in accordance with the directives of the French law of 1992, the Urban Community of Strasbourg (UCS) worked out a financial agreement, for which, the Strasbourg National School for Water and Environment Engineering hold a job as an expert aid.
Within the scope of the invitation to tender on results from the UCS, this study consisted on help this one to make a good choice as to the methods which used to comes up to the specifications in demand by the regulations.
Considering the numerous problems close, on the one hand, to the working conditions in the urban drainage network, and on the other hand, to the uncertainties on the calculation methods, and on the existing sensors, the study consisted on determinate the test protocols of the sensors, in laboratory and in site, in order to suggest to the UCS the means of choosing the measurement network the most appropriate for its needs.
