| Sometime before Hydra Eternal was married to Nikki, he was capturred by a surviving faction of the Rhydin Police Department. An organization dedicated to clensing Rhydin of evil. Being as Hydra was the only survivor of the monster race, and was a creature capable of enormus magic potential, it was at one time thought that through proper technique and manipulation, Hydra could become a weapon for the RPD, capable of bringing down any foe that might oppose them. It was discoverred, however, that due to Hydra's memory block, inflicted upon him by his former master, It was impossible to tap into the full vastness of Hydra's brain. Thus, the decision was made to clone him. This however, also resulted in failure, because due to the fact that Hydra could only remember things 100 years after his rehabilitation, and knew none of his past, the clone of Hydra was was born, inheriting only the memories that took place before Hydra's memory block was implicated. This ment that all of Hydra's repressed and painful memories of his past, which previously drove him mad with rage, were all placed into the cloned specimen. Both Hydra and the clone eventually escaped, but while Hydra had an empire to get back to rebuilding, the clone was left to wander the streets, forever haunted by these memories, becoming more sick and twisted by the day. A wanderring, torturred soul burning with horrific memories that were not his, Ares could not control the unstable energy in his body, and lashed out at the world. Only able to scream and emit destruction in his path, it was a powerful psychic named Void who eventually tamed him. Angerred at her former lover, Hydra Eternal, she sought to calm Ares, and make him her own, and though she did succeed in bringing Ares the ability to function as a normal member of society, teaching him language, educating him in the manners of magic, and of love, in the end, Ares was beyond help, and set out into the world without her, seeking true vengeance against Hydra, believing him to be the cause of all his suffering. For now, he knows nothing else but hatred, and thaving been tamed, he remains Hydra's most formidable enemy, doing all he can to disrupt the life of the dark sorcerer. From kidnapping his children to destroying his lovers, Ares and Hydra are two mortal enemies, destined to be constantly at war until a true victor is proclaimed. |
