This section is a gallery of photos taken during my recent trip to Germany (April ~ May 2002). Although this is my sixth time in Europe, this is my first time to set foot on this country. Germany is more beautiful than I expected.

I'm sorry to say that no travel information is available in this section. I traveled by package tour this time so I am not familiar with the places at all.


SCHLOSS NEUSCHWANSTEIN

It's probably the most famous castle in Germany. It's dramatic, romantic and fairy tale like design is so impressive that Walt Disney has adopted it in constructing the Sleeping Beauty Castle in USA's Disneyland......

This town is known for it's charming medieval atmosphere, most of the medieval houses and fortifications remain intact and most buildings are transformed into hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops.......

Lake Kognisee is in Berchtesgaden, an area rich in natural beauty. Kognisee is a small narrow lake surrounded by snow-caped mountains. The lake is waveless and the water is emerald green color.......

Zugspitz is the highest peak in Germany, 2964m high, locate in Garmish - Partenkirchen, belongs to the Baranian Alps. Zugspitz plateau is Germany's highest ski terrain.......

These towns belong to the Marchen Strasse, the Fairy Tale Road. Each town has a tale to tell. Kassel is the hometown of Grimm Brothers, the writers of famous fairy tales......
