2.19 "Kiss Of Death"
Eric accidentally runs over Donna's beloved cat, Mister
Bonkers, and doesn't have the heart to tell her. While Eric
decides what to do, Kelso decides to break things off
with Laurie.
Eric finally tells Donna what happened and brings her
a kitten as a peace offering. This, however, does not
have the desired effect. Donna and her family are furious
with Eric, and he's stuck with the kitten. Meanwhile, Kelso
has a heart-to-heart with Laurie, explaining that he's tired
of living a lie and only wants to be with Jackie. He even
remains strong when Laurie threatens to tell Jackie the
truth. Kelso is willing to risk everything, and that actually
impresses Laurie. She sets him free with one final kiss
that she stages so that Jackie catches them! Jackie
immediately breaks up with Kelso.
Eric and Kelso lament the fact that even though they
tried to do the right thing they still got in trouble. They try
to come up with a way to get the girls back, and decide
that honesty just might work. At the same time, Jackie
confronts Donna about not telling her sooner about
Kelso's affair. Donna says she tried, but Jackie wouldn't
listen. And it's not as bad as how Eric lied to her. Jackie
responds by pointing out that at least Eric didn't cheat on
her.
Eric and Donna reconcile and decide to always be
honest. Jackie, however, is not so unforgiving and tells
Kelso they are finished. Across town, in a hospital bed,
Fez recovers from an emergency appendectomy--and
has a wild Charlie's Angels fantasy.
