Curb, The State, Silver Side Up, and now their senior album "The Long Road", Nickelback has certainly been around long enough to prove themselves. Clentching the most played song ever last year from the Spiderman soundtrack with "Hero" we thought we'd heard enough from Chad to last a lifetime.
But with this album my faith has been renewed. With lyrics, rifs and songs that just sound good, Nickelbacks latest album is a huge score. Right out of the gate they recieved play from over 150 radio stations for the single, "Someday". Followed by "figured you out". With both of these singles you can judge how the rest of the album sounds. Well thought out lyrics and music that just seems to flow effortlessly out of the group.
They haven't gotten soft either, "Flat on the Floor", "Believe it or Not", and "Figured You Out", all rock. And with a cover of "Saturday Nite's Alright" as a bonus track Nickelback scores some great songs for the pits. There are songs that seem to blend the emotional and hard rock line. Songs like "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good" and "Someday" Nickelback can reach out to the love torn amongst us or those of us who are going through rough times.
I think that in these days when it seems like downloading music is dangerous but you still do it this is an album worthy of your $14.95. Nickelback has obviously sat down and spent some time kicking out a quality album for your listening pleasure. Show them a little gratitude and support thier latest album.
