Project 2001 :
The creation of Chye .

Computer Character Design - Some assembly required ...
When I first began to create my fisrt character , i decided that it would be female . When Chye started her life , she was a Pz3 document file . She had no hair , no skin  , eye , lip , nail colour  . Over a year , she grew up quite quicky . Her original format was a adolescent but I wanted to experiment some more ...

All these images you see may look to you , easy to make . But when you think about the design process behind it  - it's not that quick to do , {it can take up to 4hrs just to get one shot right , most pictures are composed of at least 2 shots , some have 6 }.

The blue dress that Chye wears is really a piece of red fabric cut to size , scanned into the computer , BMP formatted and imposed onto a BMP of Chye .
To make the dress look real , it requires special effects such as sharpening , saturation , different hues and tones . Then you have to carefully trace the outline of the dress so it looks 3D . The effect is something that appears to have texture , light and movement , In reality - it's a piece of fabric !
^ Double Image .
This is the final product . This pic. has 4 shots , 6 overlays .
Total time taken :
5hrs , 21 mins .
NEWS FLASH !!!
While I was "surfing" the net last friday , I was talking to someone who was designing their own web page . They asked me if i could help them ... anyways , an hour later ... They had visited my hybis.com and Project 2001 pages and were very impressed with my graphics . They offered me a job  , to design a logo for their business , " Dixie Models " in America . So I was really excited that someone had found my page and liked it alot !
One day later , 2 hot chocolates & 6 hours on the computer threatening it [ because it was shutting down on me for no apparent reason ! ]
I had created 3 demo logos using what i'd done for project 2001 . It was an exciting new task for me . Now im just waiting on the reply to see how my demos went...
