Also known as an excuse for another list. These are some of my favourite bands and artists, some old favourites, others discovered by accident and good fortune.

While most people listen to music every day, they probably couldn't tell you how important it really is to them. I find that I often reduce music to "good, better, best, or trash" even though I ought to know better, but I'm not one of those music snobs who avoid certain music simply because it is popular or whatever. Also, it's a shame that some people do not take the trouble to explore new music, and instead content themselves with the same old thing they listened to when they were younger or what is easily accessible. I personally have friends who are like that. We all cherish the music we grew up with and I guess most of us have a special song or two, but there's no excuse for it being the same old thing. Oh, and I really, really hate compartmentalizing music and I'll kill you if you mention genres. To be completely serious though, name a genre of music and I most likely will say that I enjoy it. Or I can at least say that I appreciate it. The concept of music itself has been around since the world has come into existence. Music is something that can draw many different types of people together simply because of the fact that those people enjoy that kind of music. Or music can inspire peace and hope into the hearts of those who no longer have faith in those things. This is my fundamental reason for why I love music. And now I've ended up sounding like a hippy. Anyway, I'd recommend that you give any of these bands and artists a go.
