CONT..... These are the headrests after recovering. Why I didn't take pictures BEFORE I recovered them is beyond me. Take my word for it, they were hammered. One was white from a Camaro, the other was black from a Firebird. Surprizingly they are within a few weeks of each other in manufacture date.
I fit the coveres a couple dozen times until I knew exactly how they'd fit, and had to bolster the top area of both to get the best fit. Again, using polyester fill. Then I sprayed upholstery adhesive ONLY around the bottom edges and the undersides. I slid the plastic covers down and held them in place with golf T's temporarily. The reason being, I can remove the tee's in a day or so when the adhesive is dry because I'm replacing the plastic covers. It actually looks like I know what I'm doing! In reality I've been taking my time because I'm only doing this ONCE! |
