Roses and thorns intermingled.
Do these you really want to separate?
The roses would be nice without the thorns.
But would they be appreciated?
Would the thorns be endurable without the rose?
So what if you should admire the rose and find a
thorn; turning the blossom a deeper hue?
Or the thorn less piercing because of the rose?
Pain is pain; beauty is beauty.
But seldom do they appear alone.
Accept this simple fact.
