In keeping with the theme of this newsletter I want to tell you a story about an experience I had this past year that validated my ideas about what happens to our loved ones when they pass on. Many of you have probably heard of a man named John Edward who has the special gift of being able to receive and relay messages to people from their loved ones that have passed on. These messages from the DP's (Dead People) are meant to bring comfort and in many cases closure to the family members and/or close friends that receive them. I was quite skeptical at the concept and it took me a bit to realize that this is truly a gifted man and that what he was doing was a great service to humanity. A couple years back now a friend of mine told me that she had read his book and that he mentioned a woman that helped him along in his path as she too had this gift from an early age. This woman's name is Suzane Northrup and she was raised in Horseheads, NY. My friend told me and some of her other friends that Suzane would be coming to this area to do a seminar on the topic. This also included spot messages to some of the people attending the seminar. I was hesitant but decided that I would like to go and see for myself what this was all about. From the very first seminar I was not disappointed. Suzane was a very personable and well spoken woman and put you at ease right away. She spoke of her experiences with relaying these messages to people, how she receives them and how each one of us can be receptive enough to get these messages on our own. The second part of the seminar she does a meditation segment to show us one way we can try to connect to our loved ones. She then proceeded to walk around the room and then would abruptly stop in front of someone or point in their direction and say a name. I was fascinated and found that her accuracy was overwhelming in the messages she was giving these people. My friend was one of the lucky few who received a message from her mother who had passed on many years ago. I remember being very happy for her and wished that I too could get a message but knew the odds were very slim considering there were around 200 people in the room and Suzane couldn't possibly give a message to everyone.

After that night I continued to go to these seminars whenever Suzane was in the area and never walked away disappointed, even though the messages had not been given to me. I had even brought a friend who is more like a sister to me with me in hopes that she would receive a message from her daughter who had passed at the young age of 23. I was also very close to her daughter as she was born 2 months after my son and they were pretty much raised together during their younger years. She had passed about 6 months prior to the seminar and I was hoping that she could let her mother know she was all right. The circumstances of her death were very tragic and I felt her mother needed the closure. No messages were received that night but 6 months later around the year anniversary of her death my daughter and I went to another seminar. It was ironic because my girlfriend was supposed to go with me again and declined saying she wasn't up to it, so my daughter went in her place. That night during the message portion Suzane walked up to me and my daughter and said, "I hear the name Sarah'. I was in shock and immediately responded to Suzane that I knew a Sarah and she had passed. Suzane asked where Sarah's mother was and I told her that she was unable to make it but that she was supposed to be there. She then relayed that Sarah's mother and I are very close and are like sisters and that Sarah wanted me to give a message to her. She then went on to describe her memorial service and several other things that left me with no doubt in my mind that it was truly Sarah that had connected with me and my daughter. Needless to say it was a very emotional experience, one in which I will never forget! I did in turn tell my friend all the details and she found great comfort in knowing that Sarah was all right and happy. Suzane has said that sometimes the DP will not give messages to the actual person they want to relay them to if they are too emotional for fear of upsetting them more and that they sometimes give the message to a third party that might be more open to receive them. That was certainly the case in this instance and I feel very blessed that I was one of the lucky ones to benefit from Suzane's great gift.

If any of you have an interest in seeing Suzane for yourself I would encourage you to do so! Even if you never receive a personal message yourself the experience of sharing with others in their messages is very moving and enlightening.
