George and Mary Milton (Maugridge) Boone were born in Devonshire, England.  They married in Stoke, Canon, Devonshire, England and immigrated to America at least 50 years before the Revolutionary War.  They had 12 known children, most or all born in England.  After arriving in America they settled in present day Berks county, PA.  Their 12 children were: George, Sarah, Mary, Squire, Mary, John, Joseph, Johann Diel, Benjamin, James, Samuel, and James.  Squire Boone was the father of the famous Daniel Boone.  Two of the other children were both ancestors of my Boone line.  Daughter Mary Boone married John Webb and the couple gave birth to son Samuel Webb, who married Rebecca Paine, daughter of Thomas Paine.  (See pages on the Webb family).  Squire and Mary's brother Benjamin Boone was my other Boone ancestor.

Benjamin Boone was born July 16, 1706 in Bradninch, Exeter, Devonshihre, England.  He settled in present day Berks county, PA sometime before 1726, when he married Susannah Laikan or Likens, born 1708 to parents Anders Petersson Lycon and Anna Johnson of Schakamoxon, Philadelphia, PA.  Anders was the son of Peter Nilssen Laikan/Lycon.  Benjamin and Susannah had 7 known children: Benjamin, Mary, James, Samuel, John, Mary  (2), and Dinah.  Benjamin (junior) was my ancestor.

Benjamin Boone (junior) was born Aug 13, 1741 in Morlottan, Berks county, PA.  At St. Gabriel's Church in Morlottan on Oct 1, 1771 he married Eve Lofter/Leffel/Loeffel, daughter of Bathazar/Balzer and Sybilla Leffel who had immigrated to PA from Rhineland, Palatinate, West Germany and were thus considered 'Pennsylvania Dutch'.  Eve was born in Berks county, PA in 1748.  Benjamin and Eve had 10 known children: Abigail, Sebilla, Suzannah, Sarah, Samuel, Hannah, Mary, Appolonia, Nellie, and Benjamin.  Their daughter Mary was my ancestor.

Mary Boone was born in Berks county in 1780.  She married Samuel Webb and they had a daughter named Hannah Webb.

Hannah Webb married Samuel Thomas (son of Joseph Thomas and Ann Currey of the Catawissa Friends) in Berks county, PA in 1822. The couple moved north to present day Columbia county, as did both of their families.  Hannah's mother may have died in Berks county before the family moved north.  Samuel and Hannah Thomas had 4 children: Seth, Webb, and 2 daughters, one who may have been named Hannah.
