Lead crystal goblets for Bridge Crystal Glass after its take over by Old Hall, 1969

Following the introduction of cast iron and glass designs in the early 60s there was lull which lasted for several years, due largely to production problems. Then Robert produced a giant cast candlestick which was the forerunner of a family of shapes and the start of an explosion of interest and commissions from all parts of the world. To a cast iron range that included cookware and barbecue items, candlesticks and candelabra, was added a whole catalogue of kitchen pieces, coffee grinder and weights and scales, pepper mills and salts; Guiness asked him to design a beer pump (which failed to see the light of day) and Rutgers University Church in Pennsylvania wanted a cast aluminium font (which did materialise).
