A Chris Winn hat-trick saw off Beacons Bottom as Hughenden bagged their fifth win in succesion. With three games to play, all at the Wendy House, three wins might bring some silverware to the Hughenden trophy cabinet! May 2002
The season ended in a disapppointing way for Athletic. Having been beaten to the title by Chalfont St Peter in our only home defeat of the season, we were cheated out of the runner-up spot. The deciding game against Burnham never took place, leaving us just two points behind them in the final table. What a travesty.
