Gladden River Gorge

Sound. Roaring sound. The narrow canyon echoes with the rushing cataracts, and the air is filled with light spray. Only a narrow space separates sheer walls of sandstone from the north bank of the Gladden river. At one point a small stream comes in from a side canyon to the north, but it is shallow enough to be forded easily.

A pool of light illumines the hard-packed path. Light glints off water and rockwalls not far distant.

[Dathluk(#29112)] Just behind Snerl, a few breaths away, another creature moves through the blanket of night. With a keen nose he inhales, and with keen red eyes he searches. Only the rustles of leaves and the rushing of water catch his attention. He's not a scout, after all.

Snerl stops moving as well, crouching low he sniffs the air again. His eyes glow bright and menacing in the night. He looks back and forth, back and forth, fearing he is not alone.

[Morgrim(#28988)] The man smiles slightly before halting, and crouching down besides the large man. Slowly he presses his ear down to the earth, before raising his head and sniffing. a low growl comes forth, before lowering his head down again, placing his ear close to the ground once more, before squinting. QWuickly a hand goes to his side and slowly draws out the axe from the loop along his belt, while his other hand goes for the shield at his side.

The White eye peers about , fixed in it's death glare, while the green eye looks about again. Morgrim continues to scan while lips move letting out more whispered words.

[Rukghash]

Seperated from the group of scouting orcs, and alone in the night, comes Rukghash - the soft clinking of his metal armour muffled by the bandages in place underneath. Rukghash carries a short bow in his hands, a quiver full of arrows strapped across his back. Slowly, quietly, the orc mvoes over the land - his eyes able to catch the motions of the fellow orcs.

Still Rukghash remains silent, his bow ready with an arrow waiting on the string. Quietly, the Talashakh crouches low to the ground - his night accustomed eyes searching out aahead and around.

[Dugmer(#21600)] Following at a distance Dugmer has her bow in hand. She stays low to the ground watching the path ahead. She is tasked with shooting the enemy from a distance, inflicting wounds that will at least last long after the battle. She looks sideways to Rukghash then continues creeping, almost invisible.

[<#22365>] Still standing dead still, Grimbeorn sniffs the air, then nods to Morgrim, turning toward him with a series of low growls. "<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" He nods again as the High Pass Captain draws his weapon, then cautiously moves ahead again. His huge form seems to melt into the darkness--a man one moment and then the next, the huge, hulking form of a deadly bear

[Morgrim(#28988)] the Man seems to grin as low chuckles almost burst forth, his shield is brought up towards his mouth where he quickly bites and tugs as more growling insues. "Well lets drive em out..." he states in between another bite and tug along the shiled as the axe is brought up. Eyes look about, as slobberingand growling conintues, his nose working overtime trying to find the beings he smells.

The Mad Eye continues to stalk further as the rage seems to take up in him and his grip gorws tighter on his axe..Morgrim, the Mad eye, is in his element.

Snerl perks his head up as e hears a noise in the darkness nearby. He stands and looks about more feverishly, watching gor any enemies, as well as his fellow orcs.

[Hronegnir(#14000)]

A muffled clinking sound, strange in the darkness as it moves in the darkness behind the big hukling form of the bear. A two legged form this, as it steps lightly through the fallen leaves. He too nods at the words of the great bear, and the only response is a hand reaching down to unclasp the axe hanging from his belt.

An instant he waits after the Captain and the Beijabar heads forward, before muttering to himself. "And here we go again."

[Dugmer(#21600)] Somthing begins to bite at Dugmer's mind, somthing wrong. She begins to become more tence, and puts an arrow on the string of her bow, preparing to fire instantly should need be. She begins to slow in her creeping falling behing the others in order to put distance between her and the enemy.

[<#22365>] Despite the tense and serious situation, the bear seems to snorts a laugh as he looks back at Morgrim. "<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" comes a grunting noise; it almost seems to cackle through the air, though it blends in with the roar of the water. With a shake of its head, the bear turns back--stopping its path forward and lowering its head to the ground, sniffing. One oversized paw begins to claw at the earth.

[Rukghash]

Rukghash moves ever slowly, slipstepping to his right and then again. Still he remains low, knees heavily bent and legs tensed for action. The orc's right hand grips the nock of the arrow, preparing to pull it back to release. Pause. Listen. Rukghash goes deadly still, his crimson eyes staring out into the night - hsi hearing nearly useless with the background noise of the area.

[<#28988>] The Mad eye chuckles sloftly as he coruches low along the bear, eyes looking about as he too sniffs the air "<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" a slight smile comes across as the waning light catches white eye, which almost seems to flash slightly, as if that, besides the smell of human and his noises could give him away.

The Captain of the High Pass, looks about again as he causitiosly raises his shield up, as he scrunches down lower.

[Dugmer(#21600)] Almost as if imagining it Dugmer thinks she hears the sounds of voises. She can not tell from were they came or if she only imagined it, however she pulls back on the string of the bow just slightly so that a shot will be possible in but a quick moment. Shoot First ask..you know.

Snerl stands there, unmoving, as he hears movement all around him, quiet movement, but it is there. Better to not be heard at all.

[Bigar(#19150)]

Bigar comes from downstream. Slowly aproaching the rest of the uruks. Careful not to make any noise as he slides his shield onto his left arm and releases the mace from his belt with his right hand. Silently he walks on the bank of the river.

[Rukghash]

Rukghash's boot grinds a bit into the soil, his eyes staring through the darkness. There! Figures in the dark, and not of orc shape. Though blurred by distance, Rukghash eyes the three figures for a few moments before lifting his bow. Slowly the orc pulls back on the string, aiming at one of the figures. The bow groans lowly in protest to the force being put on it, finally reaching its apex. Thunk! Zip! The arrow is loosed. Flashing through the air with a high whistle, one even heard above the rumble of the water.

[<#22365>] "<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" comes a roar now, echoing through the gorge even above the roar of the water. Lunging ahead, the silvertip bruin charges toward the stream, where the goblin Snerl now stands. His massive form is impossible to miss as it comes hurtling straight toward the goblin, looking as if he might take off his head.

[Dugmer(#21600)] Shocked and tence Dugmer spots the large creature coming forth from the trees. She waits only a second befor sending a arrow in the bears dirrection. She yells the alarm and as she dose this watching to see if more targets might come from the trees. She is a great distance from the front and it will take some time for the enemy to reach her.

 [Hronegnir(#14000)]

A little worried frown crosses the mason's face in the dark as the sound of an arrow swishes through the darkness. "They have archers!" , he hisses in warning to the two ahead of him. Crouching to his knees, Hronegnir places his axe on the ground beside him as he pulls out his bow from his back and fits an arrow to it.

Towards the orc lines he raises the bow, and hesitates.

[<#28988>] "<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" cries out the Mad eye sas he starts his run right out behind the large Bear. even then the man continues to press on, as the arrows begin their loud cries into the air and then THOK, one hits deep into his left shoulder. But the man only seems to pause as eyes look down. Soon comes a great roar, for a man, of defiance as his axe knocks part of it off, leaving a black stump stick out of him, before slowly his legs begin to churn and thus the war machine of the Mad Eye begins his charge once more.

Snerl is thrown back by the bears hit. He was in a hell of a lot of pain. He snarls in fury and attempts an attakc on the bear, using all the fury he can muster.

[Bigar(#19150)]

As the arrows are launched and the Great_Bear attacks the forward uruks Bigar changes his stealth for speed and starts running forward toward the beast.

[Rukghash]

Now the targets are clear, and one immense, before the eyes of Rukghash. Still unmoved from his spot the orc quickly readies another arrow and moves between the three targets. The arrow is knocked, pulled back to his ear, and held momentarily as the orc takes in a breath - aiming for one of the humans. Thunk! Zip! The arrow is loosed again, launching with all speed for another of the humans.

[Great_Bear(#22365)] Bigar's charge is met head-on, though, as, leaving the other goblin behind, the bear charges along the river bank. With a rage-filled roar, the bear seeks out its next target, head lowered and aimed at Bigar's gut.

Great_Bear attacks Bigar with his Beijabar Fists and badly wounds him!

[Crysta(#20993)]

Gentle blue eyes flicker with an uneasy tension as Crystawen follows the Beornings. Wearing a protective Chainmail, and carrying a sword for protection she follows at a distance to watch and wait should her skills in healing be needed. As her gaze wanders to the huge bear, the daughter of Rohan lightly bites her lower lip. Such strange things she's seen since coming to this land.

Taking another small step forward the distinctive sound of an arrow in flight is heard and she takes a step back. Her eyes grow wide as she focuses upon the arrow lodged in the Beorning's shoulder and she grips the hilt of her sword tightly as if that measure alone will protect her. She pauses a moment, indeed she even holds her breath until finally she turns to watch the Great Bear in action. Her mouth drops open slightly as she watches in awe as the creature fights.

[Dathluk(#29112)] Leaping from behind Snerl's hewed form, Dathluk waves his Hammer with one bulging arm... of course, it is nothing compared to the arm of the bear, but perhaps there is yet hope for some damage done... Oh, what a bear.

The hammer comes down at the thing's thick skull.

[Hronegnir(#14000)] And the swish of an arrow launched from ahead of him catches Hronegnir's ear. Raised bow tautens, before going slack as the arrow streaks away into the darkness..

[Dugmer(#21600)] Spoting Bigar's plight Dugmer brings another arrow go her bow. "For e flame!" She yells and fires the arrow at the bear. Though she has not the streaght nor the skill of Rukghash.

Snerl falls to the ground, the wound in his chest pouring black blood onto the black earth. His ribs are broken and he feels the quiver in their many pieces within his chest. he attampts to crawl away as best he can, trying to hang on to conciousness.

[Bigar(#19150)]

Bigar is knocked backwards as the Great_Bear's paw hits him in the chest. He slowly forces himself back to his feet.

[Rukghash]

Schick! An arrow glances off of Rukghash's arm, the setting of his third shot disturbed momentarily. Quickly, Rukghash ducks low and moves back and to his right some more - hoping to throw off the next shot of the human archers. Muttering something under his breath, Rukghash rises slightly again - readying his bow with another arrow and aiming into the night. Thwunk! The arrow is gone, leaping through the air as easily as water flows. Zip!

[Morgrim(#28988)] Coming along behind the Bear the Human now reaches where the orcs gather, or more or less, charge apon the enraged beast. A loud cry is unleashed as he charges over Snerl, and his axe, reared back goes out, like an asp who strikes at a sheep's nose for the orc's head. However, this time, this bite is gonna be a little bit bigger,as garbled wors ring out true from Morgrim.

"For the Bear!"

[Great_Bear(#22365)] The momentum of the bear's charge carries him forward past Bigar and into the thick of the fight, past the war hammer's blow and into the archers. Not close enough, though, for black arrow finds its mark--hitting the bear's back and drawing a bit of blood before falling out. The wound only serves to anger the bear more, as he rears on his hindlegs, deadly claw now aimed at Dathluk's torso.

[Dugmer(#21600)] Gladly seeing that the arrow hit its mark Dugmer sends another toward the Bear. She dose her best to make it turn as far from her employer Bigar as possible. She pulls back the arrows shaft and sends it zipping through the air.

[Hronegnir(#14000)] The ruffle of the new arrow is lost as Hronegnir's eyes see the masses of orcs on the beija. And the bow stretches again as the arrow is nocked. The point seeks a target and then leaps forward.

 [Bigar(#19150)]

Bigar turns around and again charges at Great_Bear. He swings his mace over his head and with all his strength brings it downward toward the back of the bear.

[Rukghash]

Rukghash's eyes glance off to the left and ahead, finding the Great Bear and a Human amongst the other Morians. "<Morian Uruk> Bloody bear. The Gothshaka must hear of this, which means..." The Orc archer begins to back away, another arrow nocked and ready on the string. Even as Rukghash backpedals away from the scene he launches another arrow into the night - hoping it will find its mark amidst the fracas.

[Great_Bear(#22365)] Another howl as the constant attack on the bear continues. The beast stands on its massive legs again, moving it out of the way of most of the piddly goblin attacks. Storming through the attackers, the bear cuts a wide swath, and with one swipe of his arm, aims to send Bigar flying.

Snerl howls in pain as an arrow flies down, impaling itself in his leg. Now he uses his arms and one remaining leg to make his way back towards the camp, as fast as can be.

[Dathluk(#29112)] Wa! The axe of Morgrim cuts something quite severely in the orc's side. But that is not his biggest fear, oh no. The huge claws of the huge looming, hulking form strike down at him, and with a great agility -- one that surprises even himself, the orc jumps out of the way.

"Ogh..." he mouths, and black blood seeps through his fangs. Down on one knee, no one would expect an attack to come now after so narrowly avoiding death. But the hammer swings in a long swooping arch; not towards the bear, for that seems to be useless. Towards the creature's human companion (though how that could be,

[Hronegnir(#14000)] "Curse this!" mutters the mason fiercely as his arrow flies off into the darkness and fails to find anything. Dropping the bow, he rises up with the axe in his hand and charges forward. "For the Lady of the Niiiiiiiight!", his scream rises into the darkened air.

[Dugmer(#21600)] In anger Dugmer screems, "HEY BEAR!" and pulls a arrow back. She pays no heed to Rukghash's cowardly retreat and instead moves forward as soon as the arrow is lose.

[Bigar(#19150)]

Bigar is hit by the Great_Bear again with the sound of breaking bones. He is again thrown through the air to land several feet away in a pile of pain and blood.

[Morgrim(#28988)] CRACK seems to come out as the War Hammer lands solidly along the Beorning's ribs, causing the Mad Eye to falter to the side. Eyes blink as a sneer cmones along his face, before with a growl his sends himself, albiet, wobbily, forward, as the Axe swwoops down again, this time aiming for the orc's weapon arm.

Morgrim be angry now.

[Rukghash]

Rukghash merely shakes his head at the sound of one of the Morians crying out to incur the Bear's wrath. "<Morian Uruk> Not smart." Rukghash mutters, halting his retreat temporarily as the human archer seems to have joined the main fray. "<Morian Uruk> Another one won't hurt." Rukghash says more to himself than anything, an arrow quickly knocking on his bow and pulling taut to his ear. "<Morian Uruk> For the Flame." The archer exhales, loosing the arrow into the night air.

[Crysta(#20993)]

Crystawen winces at the sounds of battle, but she continues to watch. Such skill the Beornings weild, so like her kinsmen in Rohan. Well, those that are human at least. Again she winces as the bear strikes out with a mighty howl. Even as frightened as she is at the moment she finds herself compasionately concerned for the wounds he's receiving. By far he's doing much more damage to the dark beasts. "Kill the dark beasts... drive them back." she whispers with encouragement even though her words will not be heard over the sounds of battle.

[Great_Bear(#22365)] The ground around the bear is beginning to be littered with orc bodies now--or at least the surrounding river bank, where the bodies are landing is. Searching about for targets that still remain, the bear charges forward, its loping steps carrying it quickly toward the fleeing orc Rukghash.

 [Bigar(#19150)]

Bigar struggles to get to his feet but fails. Finally giving up he decides he will try to crawl away downstream.

[Dathluk(#29112)] Ha. Dathluk has had one arm taken off. He will not stand another. Though he did not expect Morgrim's first attack, the second comes as no surprise. The orc moves his feet with a casual sidestep, and the black spike -- the huge black lance of cold metal strikes against the axe with a cold ring. Just as his arms are crossed so, he moves the spike aside, back to the left... and with the right hammer-arm goes for the human's head.

[Dugmer(#21600)] Not even having been noticed yet, Dugmer sends a arrow at the bear which is not far from her now. She pulls the string back and sends the arrow at the bear to give Bigar time to flee. She hopes it will win her praise when they get back.

[Hronegnir(#14000)] For an instant the mason runs beside the bounding bear, for his eye is on the archers. "Don't let them get away!", he shouts as his axe seeks out the form of one that was shooting at him. "Aha.. flee you vile rodent, will you?, he snarls as he swipes at the back of the orc.

Snerl attempts to make his way downstream, but it is difficult with bear running around and arrows falling around him as well as bodies.

[Rukghash]

'Ah!' Rukghash shouts as the Great Bear takes a swing at him, narrowly missing rending flesh from his orcish frame. "<Morian Uruk> Shouldn't have stayed.." The orc mutters now backpedaling outright. Still as the orc moves he readies another arrow for a half-hearted shot at his pursuer. A quick tuck and pull and the arrow is....knocked from his grasp, as well as the bow. Clatter! The wooden weapon flips to the ground - Rukghash receiving a sharp cut along his shoulder for his effort. Now the orc makes sure his escape is whole-heatered, putting all his effort into running from the bear and human.

[Morgrim(#28988)] CLANG! Goes the axe as spike and tooth bite at each other in this macrbe dance of Life and death. The White eye fixes it's death stare onto the orc, and he charges forth, but halts slightly as he spins, moving down slightly as the shield comes up and knocks away the hammer with ease, and with Momentum the Axe-arm comes about speed building at a slash to help loose this orc of his Innards.

"I'll enjoy guttin' you orc!" calls out the Mad Eye.

[<#22365>] "<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" comes the roar from the bear now, a commanding sound. "<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" he bellows again. The bear starts to run toward the fleeing Rukghash when--ouch!--an arrow finds its way across the field, piercing the thick bearhide. Roaring in fury, the bear turns its anger on the archer--there. Not far is a goblin archer, still standing, firing at the Anduin villagers. With fierce speed, the bear cuts across the ground, teeth bared to bite the goblin in tow.

 [Bigar(#19150)]

Not being able to get past the Great_Bear, Bigar digs his claws into the ground and again tries to pull himself downstream.

[Dathluk(#29112)] Curling his stomach inwards in a kind of instinctual avoidance, the orc lets Morgrim's axe cut like butter... through the air. With a light tap, increased monumentally by the strength of this giant among orcs, he sends the Hammer towards Morgrim's head once again. "GRAA!" he yells, "GRAA!"

Snerl makes his way bast the battles and continues to crawl downstream. Howeverm it is tough going, and he finds a rock to sit behind, wheezing as he breathes.

[Morgrim(#28988)] The rather large man, somehow manages to roll out of the way of the new incoming threat, And as soon as he comes to the orc's left he springs up, like a cougar, or some other feirce cat of death and sends his axe out towards the side. "I missed once, but not this time!" screams the Mad Eye, full of lust for battle.

[Dugmer(#21600)] The bow of Dugmer falls uselessly to the ground, she falls over backward as her side is torn open. In pain she reaches out and grabs the first thing that comes to hand. This happens to be her bow, holding it extreamly tight she makes and attempt to squirm blindly backwards.

[Hronegnir(#14000)] As the orc archer flees from the scene, Hronegnir heaves and looks around. Seeing no one around to meet his axe, he winds his arms and throws it towards the back of the orc in disgust and anger. "Die blighter!"

[Dathluk(#29112)] Indeed, not this time. Even as the effects of the axe's first slice take their toll from the orc's accuracy, so does another hit, directly above the first, and in the same side, send him cursing. He is now stumbling most heavily, after an already heavy manner of movement. Much half-heartedly, he pushes the head of the Hammer at his opponent's stomach, though there is still enough force in those tree-like arms to do some serious damage.

[Great_Bear(#22365)] The bear continues on its furious path, tossing orc bodies--dead and alive--into the rock wall as it moves forward with amazing speed. In its rage, it seems to miss a few of those who are still trying to crawl away.

[Bigar(#19150)]

Bigar seems desperate as he can't get to his feet and the Great Bear blocks his way of crawling away. With the last of his strength Bigar swings his mace again at the only thing he can reach, The leg of Great_Bear.

Bigar attacks Great_Bear with his Mace and lightly wounds him!

[Morgrim(#28988)] Thwak! comes the axe down as he knocks the hammer away. He quickly takes a step back, as blood begins to run down his mouth like some sort of grim drool. The White eye stays locked on his targer as he feigns to the right, before lunging and swinging down with his blade towards the left or where ever he can hit on this orc. Morgrim, himself tries to keep up his beseker rage, even though movements come slower now.

[Rukghash]

Flip, flip, flip! An axe harmlessly floats by the sprinting Rukghash, who changes direction mid-step to scoop the weapon up. Slowly Rukghash lifts the axe from the ground, testing its weight sub-conciously in his hand. "Here! Like so!" Rukghash taunts, spinning round and using his momentum to add force to the quickly spinning axe. End over end the human's axe flitters back towards him - rhytmically flipping in the night air.

[Dugmer(#21600)] Sitting slowly up Dugmer simple looks blankly at the bear. She dose not more having completely forgoten the battle about here. Then after a minute or to she realizes that she is in the midle of a battle? What? howd she get here? She then notices a axe on the ground. Unable to stand to use her bow quickly enough she grabs the axe. Spoting the bear, she sends it

[Great_Bear(#22365)] The bear's oversight of the moving orc or two proves to be a mistake as one of the creatures attacks his leg. Fortunately, the bear's rage is carrying it forward, so that the blow is light--barely enough to cut, but certainly enough to draw his attention. Turning back, the bear lowers its head, full-speed charge at Bigar, teeth ready for a killing bite.

[Dathluk(#29112)] That is only a thin cut to his shoulder. Morgrim's axe does not dig deep, and is released by the orcish flesh. As Dathluk is weakening already, he stumbles forward, his great form threatening to simply collapse on Morgrim and crush him. However, first, the axe collapses on the human...

Dathluk attacks Morgrim with his War Hammer, but he misses by a handspan.

You pick up the goblin-fashioned axe, your fingers clasped tight around the ebony wooden handle. On the face of the blade are strangely vulgar characters; a closer look might unlock their secrets.

 [dead_drol(#19150)]

Dead_drol smiles as he hits the leg of the bear but his smile only lasts for a second before Great_Bear pounces on him and crushes the life out of him. Black blood flies everywhere as the Master Gatherer breaths his last breath.

[Hronegnir(#14000)] The mason charges behind the form of his axe, but he seems not to have reckoned on it not hitting the orc. To a crashing halt he comes as he sees the orc scoop up his own axe. "Defile not my axe you wretched creature!", he shouts as he menaces forward seeming intent on grabbing the axe back by force.

But it is handed back to him soon enough.. in his shoulder. As the blade sinks in, Hronegnir sinks to his knees and graps at his wound. "Not again", he mutters weakly as the blood flows freely.

From afar, Hronegnir grins. Nopers.. you are free to run.

[<#28988>] The Mad Eye takes a step back as the beast swings down again and is about to charge when he pauses, something coming out of the corner of his eye, and with that the other catches The Great_Bear to his side, a few yards of, but to his side. A loud snort is given as he turns, ignoring Dathluk for now as he cries out loudly in an odd roar/growl.

"<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" and with the skill of an expert his own Axe swings out, and with ease knocks away the axe sent flying towards his Laird.

[Rukghash]

Rukghash turns even before the axe throw succeeds in hitting his target. Grim determination sets itself onto the Talashakh's face as he quickly speeds away back towards the camp - never again looking back behind him.

[Great_Bear(#22365)] A victorious roar echos through the gorge, deafening as the bear shakes the dead body of Bigar in its teeth. With a snap of his head, the bear flings the body into the river, then turns at the call of Morgrim. Howling now, the bear turns its fury on Dugmer, one paw aimed at the orc's midsection.

[Dathluk(#29112)] Dathluk is not one to waste the opportunity. He takes only a few steps forward, and eyeing Morgrim's back lets his hammer rise above the human's spine... and fall.

 [Caraz(#30504)]

From downstream comes trotting a solitary uruk, cloaked in the pelt of some massive wolf, and hunched forwards slightly to make a smaller target for arrow fire. No unit does he march with, no battle cry is bellowed, and no mad roaring to announce his presence is given. He only trudges forwards resolutely, his confident manner bespeaking a cold and quiet competence. Mist rains down upon him, as does screams from the battle, and the clash of metal.

Cold steel is in his hands, a short, serrated dirk and a tri-pronged mace. And atop his silver-haired head is a helm made from the skull of warg; snug and tight, it neither bounces nor rattles as Caraz moves forwards towards the battle.

However, as soon as he arrives he immediately ponders leaving--the sight before him is not welcoming at all. Pausing upon the bank of the rapidly moving stream, uncertainty flickers in the Gundabad Warrior's gaze as he surveys the rout before him.

[Morgrim(#28988)] Saving the Laird comes at a price, as the Hammer lands soldily onto his back, sending Morgrim to his knees, as a loud cry erupts forth, his head cocked back, as he slwoly turns, about, hadlry abelt to stands, he gives a weak charge up, as well as a quick swipe towards the one before him, hoping to somehow end it here, before he collapses on the field.

Morgrim attacks Dathluk with his Axe, but he misses by a hair.

[Dugmer(#21600)] Being almost riped in two, Dugmer seems to have submited to the bears intent. She was already siting so she could not fall down, instead she simply lays down. You could call her dead and not be far off, she is defenceless and perhaps good food.

[Great_Bear(#22365)] Making certain that the orc he attacked is dead for sure, the bear grabs the body between its paws and flings it deep into the gorge.

[Dathluk(#29112)] Though the human is taller than him, the orc is a very good deal wider... This would normally make him easier to hit, but Morgrim is after all on his knees. Tiring and bleeding all over, spotting the ground with black, Dathluk hopes to end this here and now, if not with the Bear, at least with one of his companions. The hammer falls towards the human's thick head with one big swing of the arm.

[Great_Bear(#22365)] The bear's attention now turns to the last of the battle. Not many--if any at all--remain standing, but hte bear's eye fall on Morgrim and Dathluk, and he begins moving that way.

[Morgrim(#28988)] CLANG!..Wait human Head's don't go clang..However, shields do. And so it would appear as a loud laugh is just loosed out, as the taller figure lurches up after deflecting the blow. "Oh, yer gonna pay fer that Laddie Buck." the man laughs out as his axe hand comes out, much like a wundmill's arm, howver, this goes right for the Orc's head. "I'm gonna split ye like a log..."cackles out Morgrim.

[Crysta(#20993)]

As a Beorning falls to his knees, Crystawen takes a step forward. She pauses as her eyes sweep over the orc coming and going. The sight is enough to give her pause. Lifting the blade before her she stands motionless, caught between the fear of the creatures and the need to help. The dead bodies scattered give her good cause to remain back, for the Beornings appear to need no help to fight.

[Dathluk(#29112)] With an easy side-step, Dathluk lets the axe go by. Still, all attention is focused directly on his human opponent, and no notice is paid to a huge bear... a huge bear trampling grass as he runs towards him. With a side-ways swing, and proper form (turning shoulder and shifting weight from foot to foot quite well and all), the orc goes for Morgrim's shoulder -- the shoulder of the axe-arm.

 [Hronegnir(#14000)]

Dripping blood, and his left hand hanging loose by his side, the stonemason rises. Spitting in the darkness towards the form of the orc retreat, he tears off a strip of his shirt and stuffs it into his wound.

Wincing, he starts to walk back towards the center of the fight, his eyes falling on the Captain and the beija, but not seeking to help them dispatch the last of the orcs.

[Great_Bear(#22365)] As the war hammer meets its mark, the bear charges forward, sending his full crushign weight toward the orc, a deafening roar accompanying its charge.

[Morgrim(#28988)] And the hit glances off of Morgrim's Armor, but he says nothing, nor does he move, but a mere smile forms on his lips. "Rot in the ground..." is all he says before slowly stepping back, as the rampaging bear comes charging through.

[Dathluk(#29112)] As long, black claws sink into the form of Dathluk's chest, the thing seems to shrink as breath is let out of it. The orc sighs most unnaturaly, and is knocked over to the ground rather than falling to it. His eyes close, and he appears -- for all intents and purposes -- dead.

[<#22365>] The bear springs past the fallen orc, head swiveling left and right for any left standing. He snorts loudly, then sniffs the air. "<UNINTELLIGIBLE SPEECH>" comes the roar, echoing in teh gorge.
