Hutchings High School is registered since 1879 as an Anglo-Indian High School. Pupils are prepared for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination. The School is a co-educational Institution from pre-Nursery to Class X.

Curriculum

The Schools Offers 3 streams for it's pupils studying in Std. XI & XIIth. The streams offered are science, commerce and arts. Each stream has a highly qualified staff capable of satisfying any query or doubts of it's students.

The School teaches all the subjects as are offered under I.C.S.E, New Delhi.

Examination

The School holds various test and assignments regularly, to judge the abilities of it's students. The School holds 4 unit test, Half-yearly exam and a final exam at the end of the academic session.

Unit Tests

• Ist Unit tests are held in month of July approximately from 9th to 13th July.
• IInd Unit tests are held in the month of August from 6th to 10th Aug.
• IIIrd Unit tests are held in the month of September approximately from 17th to 21st sept.
• IVth Unit tests are in the month of February from 11th to 15th Feb.
• Half yearly exams are held from 23rd November to 07th December covering the entire syllabus taught until then.
• The School's final exams begin in the first week of March.

Evaluation

The School takes into account Pupil's progress through out the year based on periodical test and examinations conducted by the School.

The average marks of monthly tests, half yearly and final examination are taken into consideration for promotion. Equal weightage is given to all the exams and internal assessment of pupil by teacher concerned.

The School follows the rule for promotion as per I.C.S.E board regulation.
