As a police officer you get to see things that the general public would not be allowed to. This week I have been taking a course on child abuse investigations. I have seen pictures, videos and interviews that I will never forget. Images that I can't erase out of my mind.
If there is anything good that I can take from this week. It is
the awareness that a sermon was needed on child abuse.
I have seen babies just a few days old murdered by their mother. Toddlers barely able to walk that were sexually abused by their fathers. Little boys and girls being raped by members of their own family. Not to mention the ones that never got reported.
Once Jesus was asked by his disciples, Who is the greatest in heaven? Jesus took a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them. He went on to say, "The same is the greatest in heaven." Be careful of how you treat God's children.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and don't prevent them, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven." God loves children. They are gifts from heaven.
Jesus warns, "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."
There is a place called hell for pedophiles who destroy childrens lives by robbing them of their innocence and peace of mind.
Jesus finished by saying, "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in heaven their Angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven."
Jesus loves the little children of the world!
