Time has made a Change
I can remember the time.  I can take you to the place.  Where the Lord saved me. By His wonderful grace.

The above lines come from one of my favorite gospel songs,
"I Can Tell You The Time."  As I began to write this sermon
/ testimony this tune keeps playing in my mind

Today is a very special day for me.  It was thirteen years ago today that the Lord pulled me out of the mud.  Cleaned me up and gave me a new life.  February 10, 1991 is a day I will never forget.

This past Sunday.  I went back to the Church that I got saved at.  The Church hadn't changed much.  I sat in the same section that I did thirteen years ago.  I felt that same sweet spirit that I felt that day that I made that long walk up the isle from the back seat to the alter.

During the service I kept thinking back how far God has brought me.  How much I have grown.  It brought back memories of my past life.  My life of sin.  1991
B.C. (Before Christ)

Before Jesus Christ came into my life I was one huge mess.  I had no goals, no direction and no hope.  My life was focused on myself and my career.  My priorities were out of order.  I was on my way to Hell.

I can still hear my childhood preacher Brother John Calvin Hatfield sing,  "Time has made a Change in the old homeplace."  I now have my eyes focused on a new home.  Not the one that is made by man.  The one who's builder and maker is Jesus Christ the Son of God.   I want to see Jesus and hear Him say, "Well Done!" That's my Goal !

Oh, what a testimony I have.  Oh, what a God I serve.  I want to end by writing the words to the Song..."Time has made a Change".  Because it is me in 1991 B.C.

   TIME HAS MADE A CHANGE

I remember the time when in darkness I wandered farther from home.
On the mountain of sin, I had traveled so long.  (For 28 years.)
Like the prodical son all my goods I had squandered, sadly I roam,
But the Savior came in and He gave me a song, 'twas a beautiful song.

I can tell you now the time (February 10, 1991)
I can show you the place (First Baptist Church Science Hill, KY.)
Where the Lord saved me (Kneeling down at the Alter)
By His wonderful grace; (By his Death, Burial and Resurrection)

But I cannot tell you how
and I cannot tell you why
But He will tell me all about it
in the by and by.

Praise the Lord !   There is no other song title that describes February 10, 1991 better than the song is that is playing, "Precious Memories"
