Have you ever noticed ants. They are always busy. They will work and carry things that are so much bigger than they are. The Bible says, "Go to the ant thou sluggard; consider her ways and be wise."
(Proverbs 6:6)
Why would Soloman who was blessed with wisdom want us to watch ants ? Ants have a reason to work. Winter is coming and they have a job to do. They don't have an overseer or ruler but yet they work. They have their priorities in order.
What about you friend. Where are your priorities ? If I asked, "What are you most committed to in your
life ?" What would your answer be ? Your spouse ? Your children ? Your Job ? All of those are very important. But, What does the bible say about priorities ?
I onced worked for an Attorney. I noticed how he was good at taking words, sentences and phrases and controling a conversation.
In the Bible a Lawyer came to Jesus and asked him a question to try to trap him. He asked, "Master which is the greatest commandment of the law ?
Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." Jesus didn't stop there. He said, "And the second is like unto it, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." (Matthew 22:37-38)
There's the answer to what our priorities should be ? #1 God. #2 Neighbor. Think about what Jesus said. That covers every human being on the earth. The song that is playing is so true. What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and griefs to bear.
Do you have that kind of love. As a preacher I do. I love everyone. I am kind of like the Ant I spoke of earlier. I've got a job to do.
Ants are kind of like preachers. There is business that must be taken care of. Time is running out. Winter is on the way.
Jesus made a similar comparison to winter but He called it night. Jesus said "I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." (John 9:4)
You might ask yourself, "Why would a man write sermons on the internet to people he doesn't even
know? Because of the Love that Jesus Christ has put in my heart, soul and mind.
My priorities are in order according to his calling in my life. My sermons are nothing without the spirit of God in them. I write so that the Father in heaven may be glorified. For He is worthy of all praise! I am just an Ant working for a King.
Please accept Jesus Christ in your life. Get your priorities in order. Jesus told his disciples, "The harvest truly is plenty but the labourers are few"
Jesus wants to hire you ! Work for the Lord ! The price has done been paid and the retirement is out of this world.
