| There was once a man who wanted to preach. A visiting preacher congratulated him on his announcement. But never called or checked back to see how he was doing. A minister from the church organization heard his testimony. The minister never check back to see how he was doing. A new pastor finally arrived at the church. The new pastor never called upon him to preach. The man kept studying and preparing sermons as if he were going to preach. But Sunday after Sunday would pass. He was never called upon. Jesus says, "Go ye therefore and teach all nations..." Matthew 28:19-20 JESUSAROSE.com is my way to witness what God has commanded for me to do. The Bible says that Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their churches and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. What made Jesus the best preacher to ever preach a sermon? It was because He was a man of compassion. He loved people so much that he would eventually die on a cross to save them from their sins. God has given me a desire to warn people that there is a hell to shun and a heaven to gain. In the Book of Matthew 9:37 Jesus tells his disciples "The harvest is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into His harvest." Beware Churches, Pastors and Councils that are more concerned with mans doctrine than the doctrine of God. I went to a church who had an eleven page application to be licensed / ordained into their doctrine. After reading the application I noticed several rules that were not from the bible but from man. The application stated that in most cases it takes three years to be ordained. Where is that in the Bible ? Jesus stated, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel." Matt. 5:14-16 The Bible gives us a list of qualifications (1 Tim. 3:1-7) in what it takes to be a Bishop / Deacon in the Church. This sermon is to open the eyes of church leadership. It is a sermon to remind the church that its time to get back to the bible when deciding on who can preach and who can't. 1 Tim. 3:1-7, It doesn't say anything about purchasing a book reading list, audio tapes, college education, writing over ten reports, reading a book on theology, or buying the book "The seven habits of highly effective people" or visiting a credentials board where you can be accepted or rejected. The list goes on....No wonder the labourers are so few. They can't get past mans rules. This story has a happy ending. The man found a new church that preached the gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John instead of the gospel according to Tom, Sam, Larry and Harry. |
