Across my mind, I find the escape
I fly through lands my feet never tread upon
Freedom my gift until light raises with dawn
Avalon is my place here, and welcomes me home
The sky a wondrous, mysterious dome
Voices drift for only my ears to hear
Friends calling for me, begging without fear
I travel to places others can only dream
Much like a cat whose eaten the cream
The universe lays down and gives me a way
Pushing me to my limits in its infinite play
Struggling to keep myself patient and ready
My mind wants to rush, the universe warns 'steady'
The stars start to dwindle and wink out of sight
My soul, weary, prepares to end flight
My newfound friends hug, and wish me safe travels
My mind slowly returns as my dream unravels
Morning light drifts into my bedroom steathly
I awake from my slumber, feeling more heathly
My friends I left are still calling my name
To visit again if its all the same
My soul has already promised them more
Next time to tell tales of legends and lore
My day continues, I anticipate sleep
Where myself I can be, my thoughts plenty deep
As the stars become gemstones in the night sky
My body breaks down, ready to die
My soul is off again, learning and growing
Everyday I awake with new aspects glowing
If ever I'm asked to give up this jewel
The asker will be deemed only a fool
For this time that I spend helps curb my insanity
It improves my hopes, and lessens my vanity
So tonight when I travel, I'll keep you in mind
And what will happen, if you keep me in kind
I will see you, and visit and sing
Our stress and our problems away we will fling
We'll dance barefoot in the sands on the beach
And embrace our true natures inside of our reach
We'll visit with friends, long gone and yet to arrive
We'll find the best in us, and learn how to strive
We'll feel happy and our Gods and Goddesses will bless
This and more, I promise, and I also confess
