Victoria calls Port Elgin home where she lives with her husband Jamie and daughter Corrina.   Born and raised in the Owen Sound area, with family living in Bruce and Grey counties; she has grown to know and appreciate all this community has to offer. Her family history trails back to the 1800's when settlers forged a path through the then rugged Queen's Bush to establish settlement in the area.   Her family folklore heralds her Great Grandfather as one of the early pioneers that cut trees in what is now downtown Port Elgin to make room for the main roadway that still exists today.

Victoria has earned a Bachelor degree in Education from the University of Waterloo and has been employed as a private school teacher and now enjoys home schooling her young daughter.

Community participation is a priority to Victoria as Co-founder of the Green Horizons environmental group and Lake Huron Earth First communities;  she frequently involves herself in projects that benefit the community.   She is an avid performer in the Owen Sound Little Theatre, and gladly volunteers her time to perform for various charity benefits and retirement communities.  She is an accomplished pianist and adds her vocal talent to the delight of many audiences.

To balance her busy life of family and community she finds solace in reading as well as appreciating the senery along Lake Huron where she can often be found walking.

The Green Party was a natural choice for Victoria to support.  She strongly believes in the party's advanced policies and platforms.  Issues such as: equality, non-prejudice, social justice, the environment and a political party that believes in the sustainability of Canada for future generations.   Victoria sees the ideals of the Green Party as being 'progressive' and 'in tune' with the way she feels the world needs to be in the future, ideas of consensus, proportional representation and that every person has a voice and is heard.

Victoria is eager to speak with the constituents of Huron-Bruce and listen to their issues and concerns.   She understands that good government should be about the people of today as well as tomorrow.  She knows that politicians work for people and not the other way around.  Victoria Serda sees the opportunity for people of Huron-Bruce to make positive changes for the better that will impact generations for years to come.
