I am a single parent, Lord, and I need Your help today.
May I have the strength to do all that needs doing, understand all that needs understanding, and give all that needs giving.
May I have extra patience when mine starts to wear a little thin, and sense of humor to get me through and help me keep things in perspective.
May I have the time I need to make us a happy loving family...and be as good a parent as I know how to be.
May I have knowledge to realize I can't do everything alone and the humility to ask for help when it's needed, and to accept it with grace when its offered.
May I have the love to give my all...the wisdom to enjoy the many gifts I've been given...and the Faith to know I'm never truly alone, Lord, as long as You're here guiding me...and watching over my precious family.

Today is the very first day of the rest of my life
This is the beginning of a new day. I have been given this day to use as I WILL. I can waste it...or use it for good, but what I do today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it! When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, and not loss; good and not evil; success, and not failure; in order that I shall not regret the price that I have paid for it. I will try just for today, for you never fail until you stop trying.
