Bedwyr was born unto exiled parents, who were living in Shadow Forest. His parents were exiled from Narvisa in 1017 for unlawful acts towards the King's son, Prince Adriano. In 1020 Bedwyr was born, but in 1025, when Bedwyr was six, his parents were killed by a savage Owlbear. Growing up without parents, Bedwyr is a very resourceful and hardened man. At the age of 24 he speaks very little, knowing only primitive common tongue. However, his ability to train animals and hunt is impressive. Eredale the Wanderer came across Bedwyr in Shadow Forest in 1041, and after persuading Bedwyr that he was trying to help him, They rode to the Oasis of the Northern Desert, where Bedwyr stayed until 1043, when Eredale called upon him to help him with a quest. Bedwyr is very untrustful, and Eredale is the only person he trusts in the world, apart from his animal companion, a Hippogriff he calls only "Mama". |
