Finally met some of my fellow San Diego NaNoWriMos today! We got together for a belated kick off party (the fires postponed the original plans). It was great to meet them. It is really fun to hear what other people are working on and what they are doing. It was a cool group.I got home from the get together and felt truly inspired by our meeting. I sat down and started cranking away. I managed to pass the half way mark, so I am totally happy. The story was put on hold a little bit to help develop three of the main characters. I also decided to write a little bit from the point of view of the "evil corporation" (boo!). It is fun and I am glad that this is a 50,000 word project. If it were 10,000 words, it would still be a big chore, but I would not be forced to explore so many different topics of writing. I can't wait to see what the second half has in store for me.
