I'm still feeling the effects of my cold or flu or whatever it is. But I felt the need to continue writing. So I cranked out a few more words and explored a new direction. I tried to develop the beginnings of a romantic interest in my story. I'm not great at this (actually, I'm not great at one of this writing stuff, but it didn't stop me 19,000 words ago so it's not going to stop me now). But I kind of like what I wrote. True, it is a big hokey. But it is something different and I view this as one large experiment. So check out the excerpt. It may not be great, but I put more effort into this than most of my sentences.
