The Mississippi Slam


    This hunt is  what my granddaddy calls a slam.  A slam is when you kill a doe and buck in the same day.  These deer, a four point

and doe, were taken in Vaiden, MS during a unique hunt.  I was hunting on private property and the land owner was taking me to the

spot where I was going to hunt.  As we were walking to the spot where I was going to hunt we jumped these two up.  I killed the doe 10

feet from where we were standing, and after I shot her the four point turned and came straight to me.  I wasn't going to kill him, but the

land owner kept telling me to "SHOOT HIM".  I killed him 10 feet in front of me and 15 feet to the left of her.
