2003 Reunion...     Picnic Photos    Banquet Photos     Karaoke/Dancing Photos
Memorial Day weekend 2003 found the small rural town of Huntington, Oregon knee-deep in HHS alumni and their guests!  Chances are you would have run into them...  at the Farewell Bend State Park on Saturday, May 24th, at our old stomping grounds (specifically, the school gymnasium for volleyball & basketball and the cafeteria for dinner) on Sunday, May 25th, and at the Streamliner Lounge both Saturday & Sunday evenings.

The Saturday picnic was swarming with about 50 alumni and their families.  The food, drinks and even dogs were abundant as well!  We fired up the grill and re-kindled our "younger years'' connections.  It was great to see everyone saying hellos, conversing and catching up with one another.  The kids seemed to have a wonderful time, too!

Saturday night offered the opportunity for impromptu gathering at the Streamliner Lounge.  Classmates from all graduation years tipped their glasses to one antoher and gave their best shot at recognizing everyone!  There were a slew of pleasantly familiar faces to be seen.

Although the alumni did not take on the then-current HHS Student Body in Sunday's sports activities, we found plenty of healthy rivalry amongst ourselves, as well as a great deal of interactive fun!  We had more than enough 'athletes' to make two teams for both volleyball and basketball.  For some of us, our sporting represented the first competitive exertion in... well, let's just say WAY too long!  :)

After cleaning up from our friendly physical escapades, we reunited again at the school cafeteria for a fabulous feast of roast sirloin, roasted turkey, pasta, potatoes and more.  The meal was courtesy of the planning of Micki (Plymate) Poynor and the services of Judy's Weiser In (THANKS, GUYS!)  The banquet found about 15 alumni & guests gathered for good conversation and great company.

Then, it was off to the Streamliner Lounge, where Owner/Manager, Mike Wiley, hooked the whole crew up with live music and Karaoke to embarrass ourselves with (Thanks, Mike!!).  Participants joined in the merriment of re-living the 80s with a "Child of the 80s" questionnaire contest, for which Mike supplied a free drink to winner, Christine Falk (Thanks again, Mike!).  We all sang along to our favorite 'old time' songs and proved  that we still had moves (or NOT) on the dance floor!   Thanks also to LeAnne (Johnson) Condon's husband, Steve, for playing M.C. for us.
