     Hi-Acres's Hopes N' Chanted Mystery.
   SMUDGE

Smudge was my first cocker and who really reintroduced me into the crazy realm of dog showing. She was only shown for a short time before she decided that hanging out with me and being my front seat passenger on road trips was more fun. Smudge was put to sleep in my arms the same way Biker was on September 9th, 2004.  We made a vet trip that day because her lymph nodes were swollen. I thought she was just sick and the vet looked at me that day and said I'm sorry but she has a softball sized tumor on her spleen. I begged him to make her better and to take it out of her. My vet said he could do that but most likely due to her being 7 1/2 years of age she would've been put to sleep on the table... Soo I made another tough choice and said goodbye to my companion and best friend. It's never easy to say goodbye to our fur kids, and its even harder when you know there isn't anything you can do anymore. My heart breaks for my two that I lost 8 days apart . May you play with Biker, have no pain, and be happy again.

Smudge, Mom loves you, Misses you and I'll see you both again someday.
