In this world of inequalities I look to my left and my right And I see people staring at me Like I was something Who should never have been here A dark fog of hatred Surrounds their bodies Their feet urging them to let it go But their dark hearts cannot Their hands as grimy as their hate Waiting for the time To make myself miserable And to satisfy their desire To correct the world Without scums like us I shudder at my fear I scour for protection Something to envelop myself And shun from this world of pain I found nothingness within me Hopelessness and fear My soul is in peril Of being soiled by anger I reach my hand to the sky Ask for divine help But the heavens would cloud themselves And left me with these people As I witness my demise Lo, a pillar of light appears Basking me in its glow Shining brightly on the ground I took shelter in its warmth My prayers have been answered The weak have found comfort And solace from the desolate world
