ADMIRAL WINFIELD grew up in Wyoming. He had always wanted to raise horses but was called to serve in Exofleet. He rose in the ranks to become a high ranking admiral. He commanded the greatest fleet in the service from his post onboard the RESOLUTE. He was known for being a stern commander but who had also earned the respect of his crew and would go to bat for them on several occasions.
ADMIRAL WINFIELD was put in charge of battling the Pirates under the command of JONAS SIMBACCA. During an engagement, he was critically wounded and required heavy surgery. During that time MATTHEW MARCUS took over and tried to attack Earth after the Neosapiens took it over. He ended up in a fight with JT MARSH over his decision and tried to have him executed for mutiny. MARSH escaped and led a holding action against the Neos. MARCUS tried to stop MARSH but WINFIELD appeared and alllowed MARSH to save the day. He did however also put MARSH in the brig for one year for insubordination.
WINFIELD became commander of the entire Exofleet. He led an unsuccessful attempt to attack Venus. During that battle, he approved sending aid to the resistance group led by JAMES BURNS. Months later, WINFIELD was the victim of a coup staged by MARCUS and a captain named FURLONG. When MARCUS told all imprisoned that they could take part in his plan to free Earth, WINFIELD told them that they had his blessing to join in. When the battle proved disasterous, WINFIELD was rescued by KAZ TAKAGI and MAGGIE WESTON. He took control of the carrier Dominion and ordered a retreat.
WINFIELD sent MARSH to form an alliance with JONAS SIMBACCA. He also held a conference with all the homeworld resistance leaders in which he apointed SEAN NAPIER the leader for the entire movement. Once SIMBACCA agreed to ally himself with Exofleet, WINFIELD became fast friends with him and even made him captain of the RESOLUTE 2. WINFIELD ended up confering with SIMBACCA and the two came up with the successful plan to retake Venus.
WINFIELD planned the successful retaking of Earth. He was on the first transport down to the planet after the fighting stopped. After the war, he went on to raise horses. He was last seen giving advice to JT MARSH when the latter went to his ranch to visit.
