TRUNKS grew up in a time where the bulk of the world's heroes were dead thanks to DR GERO and his androids. The only hero left was GOHAN. He trained TRUNKS and together they fought hard against the Androids. They failed to defeat them and GOHAN died. TRUNKS realized he had to travel back in time in order to help the heroes defeat the Androids before its too late. With the help of his mother BULMA, TRUNKS built a time machine and traveled back to two years before the Androids appeared.
TRUNKS appeared and used his powers to kill FRIEZA and his father KING COLD. He then met the heroes and told them of the then missing GOKU'S return. He waited with them and when the Sayian hero appeared, he explained his history to him and told him to prepare. he gave GOKU an antidote to a virus that GERO would use against him. He then left for his own time.
TRUNKS returned two years later and was shocked to find the wreckage of ANDROID 20. He then raced to GERO'S lab to stop the awakening of ANDROIDS 16, 17, & 18. He couldnt stop it and was forced to stand idly by and watch the Androids kill GERO. He then helped the heroes hold the Androids at bay but was shocked to find his time machine was used by CELL to get to the past. He went into the HYPERBOLICTIME CHAMBER with VEGETA and trained in order to get the power needed to defeat CELL. He then took part in the "CELL Games". During the battle he fought some CELL JRs. When CELL regenerated after GOKU hit him with a SPIRIT BOMB, he blasted TRUNKS in the chest and killed him. VEGETA flew into a rage but was knocked out by CELL. GOHAN defeated CELL at last and the heroes used the DRAGONBALLS to bring TRUNKS back to life.
TRUNKS went back to his own future but not before finally making peace his father VEGETA. In his own time, TRUNKS used the power he had gained training to destroy the Androids and bring peace to his world. While this adult version of TRUNKS has never been heard from again, his younger self eventually joined his fellow heroes as one of Earth's defenders.
