The TERROR DROME was the first permenant base used by Cobra. It was heavily guarded and was almost impossible to get into. Cobra has been using the base since right before the mission to create SERPENTOR. During that time, it was broken into by a small squad of Joes who were out to rescue SERGEANT SLAUGHTER.
The TERROR DROME was assaulted by a creature that was unearthed from the ruins of DESTRO'S ancestral home. The creature was stopped by the Joes and Cobra.
The TERROR DROME was invaded single handedly by PYTHONA. She wasn't there to do any harm, she just wanted to find SERPENTOR and get him to steal the BET. Not long after, SERGEANT SLAUGHTER, the RENEGADES, and LT FALCON infiltrated it to get information. During their mission, the Joe group set off explosives that demolished the base. The Cobra's all survived by hiding in an underground shelter.
(Note: Cobra uses several TERROR DROMES in the comics as part of a scheme to create violent bursts of emotion using special machines hiddden inside.)
