STEELER was one of the first Joes. He's main job was being at the helm of the Mobat tank. He never liked the battle against Cobra and often wondered if he was fighting a lost cause.
STEELER fought in the battle to stop the MASS DEVICE. He helped rescue Dr Vandemeer and took part in Operation: Big Lift. Two years later, he helped defeat the plan to hold the world at bay with the PYRAMID OF DARKNESS.
A short time later, STEELER was part of a group of Joes that were transported to another dimension. The world was one where Cobra had won. STEELER was biten by a mutated mosquito and fell ill. In a daze he wandered into several corpses, one of which was his double from the alternate universe. STEELER went mad and had to be restrained by Grunt. They were picked up by forces loyal to the BARONESS. This BARONESS was inlove with the other STEELER. She was shocked to learn of his death. STEELER convinced her to help him rescue his friends. While the other Joes left back to their home. STEELER, Grunt, and CLUTCH stayed behind. They have yet to come back.
