SPARKS was G.I.Joe's first computer man. He usually stayed at the base and took care of any incoming communications. He intercepted the message from DUKE and SNAKE EYES about Cobra's plan to destroy Washington DC with the WEATHER DOMINATOR.
SPARKS worked with COLONEL SHARP on trying to pinpoint the location of some hijacked tankers that Cobra was using to blackmail the world. He developed a system whereby any attempt by Cobra to blow up a tanker would result in the Joes finding Cobra's location. The plan worked and Cobra's scheme was stopped.
SPARKS retired from GI.Joe and went to work as a technical director. He aided FLINT and LADY JAYE in tracking down a Cobra operation run from a health spa. When they thanked him for the help, he answerd "No sweat, once a Joe, always a Joe."
