RACE : unknown type of intelligent plantlife possibly created by the Sayiens
FIGHTING SKILLS: no real fighting technique, mostly brute force attacks. They can enable themselves to self-destruct in a kamikaze style attack.
1ST APPEARANCE: DRAGONBALL Z: THE BATTLE BEGINS

The SAIBAIMEN are fierce little plant creatures used as expendable foot soldiers by the Sayiens. They posses great strength but are nearly mindless. A Sayien can bring SAIBAIMEN with him in the form of little seeds. The Sayien then plants the seeds and soon the creatures come out of the ground ready to fight.
When they came to Earth, VEGETA and NAPPA brought six seeds with them. The resulting SAIBAIMEN kept GOHAN, PICCOLO, and KRILLEN at bay until help arrived in the form of YAMCHA, TIEN, and CHAIO-TSU. it was decided that a battle was to be fought against the heroes and the SAIBAIMEN. Each hero had to face off alone against one of the plant creatures. In the first fight, TIEN easily beat his opponent who was then blasted apart by VEGETA for losing. YAMCHA won the second battle, but the battered SAIBAIMAN made a leap at him and caught him in a bear hug. The plant then self-destructed, taking YAMCHA with him. KRILLEN then let out a blast of energy that incinerated most of the remaining creatures. The sole surviving one was then blasted by VEGETA. With the SAIBAIMEN gone, the real fight began.
