| ROADBLOCK VOICE ACTOR: Kene Holliday ALLEGIANCE: G.I.Joe SPECIALTY: heavy machine gunner 1ST APPEARANCE: G.I.JOE: REVENGE OF COBRA ROADBLOCK was the GIJoe team's first heavy machine gunner. He was also trained as a gourment chef. He had a tendancy to speak in rhyme. ROADBLOCK was part of the convoy that guarded the LASER CORE. After Cobra stole the CORE and captured DUKE and SNAKE-EYES, ROADBLOCK joined the group that chased down Cobra. His SKYSTRIKER, along with FLINT'S and MUTT & JUNKYARD'S was brought down over the PIT OF CHAOS by the WEATHER DOMINATOR. While FLINT and MUTT & JUNKYARD escaped on a makeshift helicopter, ROADBLOCK was trapped by mutant vines and had to wait until the rain stopped and the vines died from lack of water to climb his way out. He then found a convoy heading for the COBRA TEMPLE. He rescued HONDALOU WEST, the convoy's real owner. The two infiltrated the COBRA TEMPLE but were captured. ROADBLOCK reunited with DUKE and SNAKE-EYES and the four of them escaped and attacked COBRA COMMANDER'S war room at the same time the other Joes were outside attacking the temple. A year later, ROADBLOCK led a mission to the CITY OF THE DEAD. There he captured XAMOT of the Crimson Twins. ROADBLOCK and RECONDO once saved ROADBLOCK'S aunt and uncle from a Cobra attack. It turned out to be part of a scheme to transform several restaurants in a fast food chain into missile sites. ROADBLOCK took part in a plan to replace LADY JAYE for a woman named MISS HENDERHORNCH in order to infiltrate a Cobra scheme to control US currency. Despite the rough treatment she first gave the Joes, MISS HENDERHORNCH warmed up to ROADBLOCK after he gave her a "wonderful" recipe for souffle. ROADBLOCK served abroad a transport plane used by HAWK as a mobile headquarters during the battle with Cobra that led to the creation of SERPENTOR. He also took part in the taking back of Washington DC after Cobra invaded it. He later was part a mission to stop a nerve gas plot by DR MINDBENDER. There he met and befriended some dust children. ROADBLOCK was later a prisoner of SERPENTOR while the Cobra emperor tested a machine that could control the emotions of others. ROADBLOCK escaped when the machine proved unable to completely control the Joes. ROADBLOCK was part of the Joe expedition to the Himilayas to test the BET. When Cobra was defeated after they tried to steal it, ROADBLOCK led a group of Joes to chase them down. He and his entire group were then captured by the forces of COBRA-LA. They tried to escape but most of the group were ensnared by the CARNO TREE. ROADBLOCK was blinded by NEMESIS ENFORCER but escaped with help from COBRA COMMANDER. The two made out but COBRA COMMANDER started to degenerate into a mindless snake. Despite this, ROADBLOCK managed to run into a small group of Joes led by FLINT. Together they teamed with the RAWHIDES to free the rest of team which had been captured while trying to invade COBRA-LA. ROADBLOCK then took part in the huge battle that followed. ROADBLOCK is still a part of the GIJoe team today. (Note: ROADBLOCK is a founding member of the reinstated GIJoe team of the Image comics series. A different person used his name in some of the new Hasbro toys, recently the lastest Roadblock figure has been the same person has the 80s Roadblock.)
