RITA TORRES was raised in New York City. She feel in love with a man named Land. Unfortunately, Land held an intense dislike for the military and broke up with her after she signed up. Upon joining Exofleet, she quickly adopted a cold and vicious attitude that ended fitting her role as a sergeant perfectly.
RITA TORRES fought against the pirates. During one mission, her squad was wiped out and she nearly died. This caused her to have an exetreme dislike for the pirates. She joined Able Squad and served as the field sergeant. Despite her by the book attitude, she aided her fellow squad members in freeing JT MARSH from prison and fighting a holding action against the Neosapien fleet. After a year in jail, she was part of a recon mission to Venus. She took command temporarily when NARA BURNS faked engine trouble to go exploring.
RITA TORRES was oppossed to the plan to make peace with the pirate clan led by JONAS SIMBACCA. She even attacked one of his aides during a demonstration of E-FRAME technology. She soon put aside her feelings after seeing the pirates in battle against the Neos. Later she teamed with the Chicago resistance to capture a NEO-MEGA. During the mission, she argued with leader EVE HANLEY over procedure. The two put aside their differences in order to fight off the Neos after they found resistance headquarters.
RITA TORRES went missing during a mission to Mars. She was found by a group of Exo-Scouts who had been stranded on the planet since the start of the war. She tried to lead them in an attempt to get back to her buddies but was met with resistance from one of the scouts. She earned their respect after she saved them from a Neo patrol. The group ended up stealing a shuttle from TYPHONUS just has he was trying to escape the destruction of Mars. RITA TORRES found her friends and even ended up interrupting her own funeral.
RITA TORRES took part in the raid on PHAETON'S bunker. She fought all the way to the door but was stopped when her E-FRAME was damaged by an explosion. During the aftermath of the war, she helped round up THRAX'S missing troops. What happened to her after the war is unknown.
