| QUINTESSONS VOICE ACTORS: Dick Gautier, Rege Cordic, Roger C Carmel, Jack Angel ALLEGIANCE: To themselves FUNCTION: creators of artificial life, universal conquerors 1ST APPEARANCE: TRANSFOMERS: THE MOVIE The origins of the robotic race known as the QUINTESSONS are facts that have been lost in time. The race has many different forms. The main form is a five-faced creature the shape of an upside down teardrop. They manipulate objects using tentacles and travel on beams of light. Other members of the species have only one or two faces. Another part of the race possesses a humanoid like body with three tentacles on each arm and still traveling via a beam of light. The Quintessons were the ones to colonize CYBERTRON. They first created Transorganics, creatures with organic and robotic parts. The creatures went wild and the QUINTESSONS locked them up deep inside CYBERTRON. They next created two differents types of robots, Consumer Goods, and Military Hardware. The two types were self aware and hated their enslavement. Led by a robot named A3, they drove the QUINTESSONS away. The robots later became the Transformers. The QUINTESSONS fled to a metallic world dubbed QUINTESSA. They created a new race of robots, the dull-witted SHARKTICONS. They then began capturing any robot that landed on the planet and executing them in a kangaroo court. In 2005, KUP and HOT ROD were captured by the QUINTESSONS, the DINOBOTS rescued them and GRIMLOCK through force of might, convinced the SHARKTICONS to attack their masters. The QUINTESSONS later managed to restore order. They then kidnapped KUP, ULTRA MAGNUS, and SPIKE. RODIMUS PRIME and several other Autobots rescued their friends and captured one of the QUINTESSONS. The others blew up QUINTESSA and then made an alliance with the then leaderless Decepticons when the Autobots survived. GALVATRON, the Decepticon leader, reappeared and almost destroyed the QUINTESSONS until they told him of a Decepticon Matrix. GALVATRON then led an attack on CYBERTRON to get it. The QUINTESSONS had actually lied and they hoped GALVATRON would activate a device to freeze all know Transfomers in the galaxy. BLITZWING found out about this but was too late to stop GALVATRON. The device worked but SPIKE was in the area and he destroyed the machine and freed the Transfomers. The QUINTESSONS retreated. A QUINTESSON scientist kidnapped ULTRA MAGNUS, CYCLONUS, MARISSA FAIRBORNE, and WRECK-GAR for experiments. The captives broke free and the resulting chaos tossed the ship they were in to dive into a black hole. All worked together to get out and upon success, parted ways. Another QUINTESSON tried to use the Transorganics against the Transfomers only to end up with the most vicious one, the Lurker, attached to his ship. A QUINTESSON wizard tried to conquer a dimension of magic but an Autobot expedition looking for DANIEL and GRIMLOCK found out about the plot and destroyed him. The Autobots managed to put a stop to two QUINTESSON subjigations on other worlds. In the first, they discovered a journal that implicated the QUINTS in starting that planet's civil war. In the other, PERCEPTOR helped an alien being stop them from blocking his people's attempts at space travel. The QUINTESSONS tried to attack the Autobots using DANIEL'S nightmares. However, the boy woke up and turned his bad dreams against his captors. The QUINTESSONS also used subilminal messages to get the JUNKIONS to go to war with the universe only to have the Autobots put an end to the plan. The QUINTESSONS tried to use a time machine to stop A3's revolution. The machine went haywire and the Autobots had to set things back to normal. The QUINTESSONS also tried to fool CYCLONUS into admitting GALVATRON to WEBWORLD for psychiatric care hoping the he would be lobotmized. GALVATRON instead demolished the planet. The QUINTESSONS then revived the fallen OPTIMUS PRIME to lure his friends into a trap. He resisted and apparently died again. However, he was actually rescued by two scientists who also brought back with them the HATE PLAGUE. The plague grew out of control and SKY LYNX rescued the only QUINTESSON he could find to fully revive OPTIMUS so he could find a cure. The QUINTESSON was successful and he also managed to repair several Autobots damaged by an infected SUPERION. He help coat PRIME with an impenetrable metal and later held off infected Transfomers while Prime searched within the MATRIX for a cure. He was defeated just as PRIME awoke and used the MATRIX to cure all infected. The QUINTESSON disappeared following the resolution of the crisis. Since then the QUINTESSONS have not been seen around.
