1ST APPEARANCE: ROBOTECH: THE BIG ESCAPE
QUADRONOS are giant man-shaped armored suits used by the Zentradi. A QUADRONO possesses powerful armor equipped with two machine guns on each "hand", plus a rocket launcher located in back of the shoulders. QUADRONOS fly around using a jet pack located in the back below the rocket launcher. QUADRONOS can pull off very intricate manuvers while flying at high speeds.
BREETAI'S fleet did not have any squadrons of QUADRONOS so they were absent for the begining of the Robotech War. Once AZONIA started her campaign against the SDF-1, ace pilot MIRIYA began taking squads over to the ship in an effort to capture it.
A possible decesendant of the QUADRONO is the BIOROID used by the ROBOTECH MASTERS during the Second Robotech War.
(Note: QUADRONOS are used exstensively in the movie Macross:DYRL.)
