1ST APPEARANCE: DRAGONBALL Z: PENDULUM ROOM
MR POPO is the pointy-eared, jetblack skinned assistant to KAMI. He is very faithful to his master and is always at his side when KAMI is at his LOOKOUT. MR POPO has also been known to aid the heroes of Earth by supplying valuable information when needed.
MR POPO watched as KAMI trained Earth's warriors in preparation for the battle with the Sayiens. When they demanded that they were ready for more, MR POPO took them to the PENDULUM ROOM. There, Earth's warriors aparently took a trip through time and space to the Sayien homeworld. After a battle where all of them were badly beaten, it was revealed that they were never in any serious danger. Their spirits went back in time to find and battle two Sayiens. The experience humbled the heroes.
Later when KAMI died because of his link to PICCOLO, MR POPO was overcome with shock. He recovered and appeared to BULMA when she was trying to figure out a way to get to NAMEK. He took her to the location of KAMI'S space craft and taught her how to use it.
Afterwards he returned to KAMI'S LOOKOUT where he was awaiting the return of his master from the dead. His patience was rewarded when KAMI returned to life after PICCOLO was revived by the DRAGONBALLS of planet NAMEK. MR POPO then journeyed around the world and found Earth's DRAGONBALLS.
When GARLIC JR returned, MR POPO was held captive alongwith KAMI. They were freed and they embarked on a quest to find the SCARED WATER. They were successful and GARLIC JR was defeated again.
After KAMI merged with PICCOLO, MR POPO became the aide to the new Guardian, DENDE. Years later during MAJIN BUU'S attack on the LOOKOUT, MR POPO threw DENDE to so he could avoid BUU'S attacks. MR POPO died alongside everyone else present but was revived later thanks to the NAMEKIAN DRAGONBALLS.
