| PHANTOM F. HARLOCK JR. RACE: human OCCUPATION: pilot in the German Luftwaffe in World War 2 1ST APPEARENCE: MY YOUTH IN ARCADIA (DECEASED) PHANTOM F HARLOCK JR was the son of famed aerial explorer PHANTOM F HARLOCK. He became a pilot for the German Luftwaffe in World war 2 and flew an ME-109 into battle which he named ARCADIA after his father's aircraft and his ancestoral home. he had no love of the Nazi ideal and flew only out love of country and to pay the bills. During the closing days of the war, PHANTOM was in battle near the German/Swiss broder when he was shot down. He survived and was met by TOCHIRO OYAMA, a Japanese engineer studying in Germany. He agreed to help the man make it to Switzerland and hid him in the cargo hold of his new plane. He also gave TOCHIRO the gunsight off his old plane for use in his studies. HARLOCK took off again and was once again shot down. He landed in a river close to the border and found out that TOCHIRO had held together two wires in order to help teh plane land safely. Moved by his friend's act, HARLOCK offered to cover his escape while he battled French Marquis that had seen the crash. TOCHIRO left and told HARLOCK their friendship would never die. HARLOCK died in battle shortly after. TOCHIRO OYAMA'S words proved true hundreds of years later when bothe their desendants teamed together to become space pirates onboard the starship ARCADIA.
