NEO-LORDS were created by PRETORIOUS to be the ultimate Neo warriors. They combined traits from most of the animal DNA used to create NEO-WARRIORS, but they also had incredible strength and deadly intelligence.
The first prototype NEO-LORD was created at an Artic breeding facility. PRETORIOUS had captured MARSH and used him as prey for the NEO-LORD. MARSH was hounded relentlessy. He managed to destroy one of the NEO-LORD'S wings but the creature caught up with him and would have killed MARSH had not ALEC DELEON appeared and saved him. The NEO-LORD fell to his death.
PRETORIOUS was never the less impressed and he started to churn out more NEO-LORDS. PHAETON also liked the NEO-LORDS and kept several has his personal guard. He sent them on various errands including killing a treacherous clone of DRACONIS.
During the final assault on Earth, PHAETON used his NEO-LORDS to round up anyone he thought was a traitor. PRETORIOUS also unleashed a half-finished brood on AVERY BUTLER'S jump-troops. This brood did not have intelligence or wings and they fought like wild animals. They chased BUTLER throughout the city of Washington DC before they were all killed by falling off the Washington Monument. During the battle, BUTLER was wounded by a NEO-LORD'S claws. This wound put him out of the fighting for the rest of the battle.
All of PHAETON'S NEO-LORDS were killed during the fighting in his bunker. In the aftermath, no NEO-LORDS have been found and they are presumed to have been wiped out.
